The one thing that has been the topic of conversation at the moment is COVID-19 virus. With many services closing down / cancelling bookings or rescheduling, i do understand the pressure that it puts couples under who are planning a wedding.

I wanted to let you know that i am still available and taking bookings. I am also happy to help out if couples / other celebrants are needing a back up or help with a wedding.

A couple of things to note :

• The department of health’s website for up to date information is https://www.health.gov.au/health-topics/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov
• If you find that your celebrant is unavailable to attend your wedding, your notice of intention to marry can be transferred to another celebrant (of course with consent of all)
• Considering changing the format of the wedding. Why have a watch party or video call your nearest and dearest that could not make it and then have a celebration with them down the track
• Why not do a legals only ceremony and then have a commitment ceremony later
• do check with your suppliers and also companies that you have engaged about their policies and procedures if there are changes that have to be made.
• All advised precautions i will discuss with the couple
• In the mean time i will continue to contact clients electronically and plan ceremonies with the use of technology.
